Musings Of A Madwoman

This is… something I got but still haven't used.

A couple of lovely blank canvases. I intended on painting a few months ago to brighten up my pain ol’ walls but never got around to it. They now sit in my cupboard somewhere. I managed to paint one and it sits pretty on my wall but it looks really random on its own. Thanks to flossy p for the theme this week!

This weekend was lovely. My new bed and sofa arrived in a lot of plastic. I managed to put my bed together whilst Aaron supervised and commentated. His excuse was that his hands wouldn’t have been able to fit through the slats to screw it all together. Anyway the past two nights have been heavenly, sinking into a giant couch and snuggling in a warm bed.

I visited Savers in dandenong on sunday and was pleasantly surprised! There was so much there – too much even. I wasn’t able to rifle through everything because I had a giant 26 year old baby who was bored and tired following me the whole time. I did manage to score a gorgeous little cat ornament, some vintage fabric and a cardi though.

Mum is coming to stay tonight because she has quit smoking officially today and needs some support. I guess that means Aaron is sleeping on the couch. SUFFER.

This Is.. Me pre 85' & my shoes!

May 4, 2008 · 8 Comments

Okay so I have finally got a moment to post this weeks this is. First off I will show you a picture of me pre 1985:

So if you hadn’t guessed – it’s a picture of a baked bean (duh). The reason being that I was born in 1986! My mum used to always explain to me when I was younger that before I was born I was a baked bean in her stomach. I guess it was her way of explaining to a curious kid that I was merely an egg in her womb. She did this to all 3 of us girls. Especially so with my youngest sister Micah, who got upset when we used to pull out photos of our trip to Ghana (which occurred when I was 5, middle sister was 2 & Micah was a year off being born). She would ask why she wasn’t in the photos, and mum would explain “Oh but you are! You were a baked bean in my stomach then”.

And here are the shoes I would sleep in if I could:

My $12 target shoes! I bought these about a month ago and they have not only been ultra comfy, but the topic of conversation when I walk into shoe shops with them on. For some reason my feet look really muscly in this photo…

Anyway I am going to scour some blogs to see what other people have posted!
